RUSSO'S
After visiting my brother in Brooklyn I wanted to capture the feel of his part of city. I spent a lot of time trying to find different store fronts to model after and Russo's ended up being my favorite and the key store in the shot. I also spent a lot of time photo-scanning old roads that were a bit torn up and in need of some repairs. I thought it fit the vibe of the city, and wanted to capture a warm area that was ignored by all of the traffic of New York.
I also used a few my tools that I've created over the past few years for this scene. one of which was the sticker generator and another was just a custom shader that I can apply to nature elements quickly to make wind.
